Advocate safer bus travel for children and adults including improved occupant protection and crashworthiness standards for school buses and motorcoaches at the school, state and federal level. This includes mandatory lap-shoulder seat belts on every new school bus, and on chartered motorcoaches used by children.
- Educate parents, children, the general public, churches, school district administrators, teaches and any other consumer of bus travel services regarding the dangers and risks of school bus and motorcoach travel under current standards, and the technology available now to make bus travel safer.
- Facilitate parents and school administrators to work together to upgrade and implement safer bus travel practices including school buses equipped with lap/shoulder seat belts and discountinuing use of unsafe motorcoaches until safety improvements are made.
- Coordinate the efforts of local groups, communities and families affected by the tradgedy of a bus crash toward advocacy and education efforts of their own.
- Provide ministry and support for the needs of families and communities affected by the tragedy of a bus crash.
